F6RD - think twice before harrasing other road users you schmuk

That's right buddy - it was me you harrased this morning at the corner of Railway Parade and Station Street in Seaford/Carrum at around 0600 this morning. You were driving like a madman. If I could be bothered, I would have every right to make a report to the police. And you know what buddy? They would be banging on your door. But I cant be bothered with the cops, because I know who you are mate. You, your registration, your name and your location come up like Herpes on the internet when I enter your rego SABASTION.

F6RD is your rego on your plain as muck Ford Falcon and knowing that most people with personalised registration plates show narcisistic traits, I'm pretty confident that you will google yourself pretty soon. Hopefully you will see this blogpost and do the right thing by posting an apology in the comments section. But then again, a narcisist has no regard for other people so I wont be holding my breath.

I was going to tap on your window and have a little chat to you when you got stuck at the railway crossing there at Carrum mate. I was about 15 metres away and closing fast when the boom gates lifted, you noticed me in your mirror and you took off.

I'll give you a tip mate - when you contribute to forums, it's a good idea to say very little about your true identity.

If I could be fucked - I would join the Ford eccentric forums that you contribute to and ask serious questions in front of your peers about your ridiculous, idiotic and dangerous driving.

If others are interested in these allegations, do an Australian Google search for F6RD and you'll see who I'm talking about.

The pain starts now

I've been letting myself go a bit since the arrival of our son.

And being a bit cold (not nearly as cold as two winters ago though( I've ben a bit soft as well.

I've been using the excuse of our new little fella to renew my relationship with the car. As a result, I need to lose about 10 kilo.

"Hi ho, Hi ho, it's to the gym we go....."

Time for TK to roll out the big guns and put to use her qualification as a personal trainer.

S.L.U.T.ting around - mantaining sanity

Being at home for the last week with our new baby, I thought that I wouldn't be out on the bike for a while. As it turns out, I was delighted to be able to use the Phatty for much needed supplies.

When your sleep deprived and spending a lot of time indoors, being able to get some much needed exercise while running errands is essential for your mental well being.

A post for new commuters - get on your bike

With Melbourne fuel prices soaring (almost $1.60 p/litre yesterday) and some commentators tipping the price to reach the $2.00 mark by Christmas, it's pretty obvious that car dependant commuters are going to have to re think a few things. Cross posted here

S.L.U.T.ting around Dandenong Creek Trail

What a beautiful morning. The Autumn sun lured quite a few people out. I headed out for a pootle up the Dandenong Creek Trail from my place. Nothing really energetic. Just out and about to roll the legs over. More here....>>>>>

Hi Anne,

Bicycle Polo is a fun came, sort of a cross between horse polo and hockey, most importantly involving bikes :) If you want to read more about it, the first place to start would be wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Urban_Cycle_Polo or our flickgroup http://www.flickr.com/groups/melbournebikepolo/pool/

However, reading about it is nothing to playing a game. We play every sunday, 2-6pm Carlton Gardens on the car park next to the royal exhibition building. EVERYBODY is welcome, no matter what experience level you have in cycling.

Bikes people ride are anything between fixies to old mountain bikes, the main recommendation is to ride a bike you don't commute on everyday and doesn't cost too much as a few bicycle injuries sadly occur.

There are normally a few minor stacks, but bad injuries are rare, the exception so far has been "TheCaptian" who accidentally put his mallet in his front wheel while just riding around, before we started a game. Generally it is a safe game, people play to their level confidence.

Hope to see you there sometime soon, it is a highly addictive game and bunches of fun :)

Ha...like we need an excuse LOL ;)

MC seems a bit more down to earth. It's got a good vibe. So how's the Xtr-slut coming along mate ? Dying to see some pics of the finished product.

Hi Anne;

We went from Warnambool to Geelong over six days. Mostly we stuck to the Great Ocean Road, except for the first day during which we used back roads to avoid the highway

Day 1) Train to Warnambool then Warnambool to Peterbourgh
Fairly boring at the start but you do get the Bay of Island at the end of the day

Day 2) Peterbourgh to Lavers Hill
This was the hardest day, the climb up to Lavers Hill is hard work, and the surface of the road was in the process of being replaced the day we rode it.

3) Lavers Hill to Apollo Bay
More hard climbs in the second half of the day

4) Apollo Bay to Lorne
Really easy, undulating hills and a reasonably wide road. Stayed at the Grand Pacific Hotel, a bit costly but friendly toward cyclists

5) Lorne to Torquay
Also easy, we'd planned to go on to Geelong but I was having knee issues due to a constantly slipping seat post and thought a short day would prevent possibly aggravating and old injury.
