The Big Bike FIlm Night - riding into Melbourne next week

Hey Melbourne... time to GET OFF ROAD!!!!

If you haven't already heard the Big Bike Film Night is riding into Melbourne next week; and this is the place to be. 

What's it all about? Sharing the best cycling short films from around the world with 12 films showcasing a collection that has everything a cycling centric audience could want- action, drama, humour and plenty of inspiration –it’s going to be bike-a-licious!

The line-up includes a stylish look at London’s bike sub-cultures, the remarkable story of an American female Bike Frame Builder; the challenge of cycling up the gruelling 6,273 feet (1912 metre) peak Mount Ventoux, the art of single speed riding, a uni-cyclist in South Africa, FAT BIKES, a BMX freestyler that can make a bike tango, and a moving story on courage and how a bike can empower communities AND MUCH MORE....

The ‘Muscles and Dreams’ documentary is also in the collection and this follows a bunch of good keen men transforming an idea for a gold miner’s road from the 1800’s into New Zealand’s longest continuous single track - The Old Ghost Road; one of the great track-building feats of the modern era.

Screening on Wednesday 18th (CINEMA NOVA) , Thursday 19th, and Saturday 21st October (ACMI).
