Fellow Bicycle People,
I'm riding a tiny ride called the Melbourne Summer Cycle, come February. I'm actually quite excited, as last year I was there to take photos, and it was the event that originally had me excited about riding for charity.
Nearly a year later, and I realise that 40kms isn't much at all - I mean, just today I'd done more that that before lunch.
But I am riding a fixed bike for the whole thing, and there is a part that may concern me - the West-gate bridge. I'm sure it'll be fine, but it's a pretty long, annoying uphill.
Anyway, it is a charity event, so I'm here to kindly ask you to donate to a complete stranger. For a good cause. You never know which dollar ends up helping to find a cure, and every single dollar helps both the families and those with the condition.
Plus, you know you can call on me for your next charity ride - I'll do the good thing, and put back into your ventures.
Here's the link, and I thank anyone kind enough to throw in even a couple of dollars.
