I did it!

The whole 200km of it without catching a train, or fading away which is always a danger on such a long ride. The whole ride took 9 hours, having to travel from Pascoe Vale through Altona, Werribee before getting on the motorway to get down to Geelong.

All in all I feel good though a little tired and stiff.

I look forward to doing it again.

Jonathon.

Thanks Rick!
I buy powdered powerade or gatorade fill up my water bottles, I also take a couple of protein bars for the trip. I also found that it is a good idea to buy a few more powerades on the way down to Geelong, fill up the bottles again and carry a couple on my back.

This works brilliantly, maybe a mars bar at Frankston, makes all the difference. I got home no even tired.

Cheers.
Jonathon.

Onya! Jonathon,
I've done it a few times from Maribyrnong travelling the same way. I don't mind the highway and wave when I get the occasional toot.
How did you manage your nutrition and hydration?
Rick.
