Spring is in the air - let's hope the weather holds up - Commuting in Spring, for me, is the best part apart riding.

Took the CargoBike up to the quack's (just a cold, needed the certificate). Got quite sweaty just in a t-shirt and jeans! Lovin' it!

Ah, Spring. What do I love about thee the most?

- Practising the skill of constant removal / re-donning of leg and arm warmers, jackets etc while on the move. A skill I was sorely lacking in today.

- The beauty and grace of the magpie who is slowly closing on your "six" as you desperately crack 50 kh/hr in an effort to get clear.

- The slowly re-emerging tan lines that remind you of what you do with your spare time.

- Letting go of that "pinched" face you developed from riding into a 7 degree headwind one too many times, and working on the aerodynamics of your new open-grin style.

Chris, you need to have pre-prepared spec sheets, (or perhaps just web reference), for those time-poor situations ;)

If I didn't know better Chris, I'd think you have a thing for red :)

Another vaguely spring related event. On Friday while attempting to catch a train, after annoying someone, at Spencer Street, Southern Cross, whatever the fk it's called now, I missed one train due to an indepth conversation that went a little like this:

BWFT: Wow cool bike, where did you get it?

CS: Goes into details

BWFT: So it's powder-coated?

CS: Goes into further details.

BWFT: Wow where did you get the rims?

CS: Goes into additional details.

CS: Noticed she's missed the train. Bugger.

NB: Bicycle in question was Kitten of Doom.

Delete Comment Hey mate is that pic taken near the Patto river ? Have they finished doing the bridge works on the trail yet ?

Yep - that's on the north bank - the top of the carpark awhere to boat ramps are - As far as I know, there aren't any bridgeworks from Carrum to Dandenong on the trail.

There's a clip of bicycles at 4 seconds here. Oh and it's completely inappropriate for general viewing everywhere.

Gawd I love TISM, they made a Goth-filled adolescence worth living through. I was lucky enough to see them at Biggsy's benefit at the Espy a while ago before they got the shits with the entire industry. Types in the word "spring" to stay on topic.
