Great WA Bike Ride - I loved cycling the tall timber!

Well done, Bicycle Victoria on running a great Great WA ride!

Super route, good company, smooth organisation and it was nice to have a smaller crowd than the teeming masses on the Great Vic, enjoyable though that is in its way.

The Garmin Edge 800 GPS - does anyone really need it?

Gearing up for the Great Vic Bike Ride

The logistics were tricky, but I'll be coming down from Sydney to do the GVBR again this year. Looking forward to it. This year I'll be using it to road test the new Garmin Edge 800 computer.

The Gong Ride is getting shorter.

The annual Sydney to Wollongong Ride is getting shorter, according to my GPS. No matter, it's a great iconic public cycling event and 83.32km is plenty, in my opinion.

My take on the Gong Ride (with very average photos)

The Sydney/Wollongong classic is always a great day. Entries limited to 10,000 this year, which made for slightly less traffic in the peleton. I took the camera, but bike cam was wobbly (I need both hands to steer on the spectacular bits). Then I just wanted to get to the finish not too far behind my son - and made it!
