Cycling in Melbourne Australia
I came down from Sydney and tried the blue bikes for the first time. Good bikes (better than the Copenhagen ones), good system - shame about the helmet laws.

So you think your morning ride was hard? Did you need to fire your revolver to ward off marauding Aborigines? No? Then you've got nothing on Donald Mackay, setting an amazing record back in 1899.

Congradulations to both FIS teams on your successful completion of the Eastern link ride. Sounds like a great time was had by all and I would have loved to be a part of it, but, the flu has put me out of circulation for 4 weeks and my riding has suffered a bit. I rode the bike for the first time in 4 weeks yesterday and felt good, so hopefully I will make Saturday morning rides starting next week.
Regards,

Congratulations to the Freeway Riders!
Congratulaions to all who took part in the Connect East Ride.
The contrasting retro FIS and the newer kit was a subtle sartorial touch and neatly separated the two teams. It looks as if I was the only one who wasn't there! The curse of work! Talk about Out Crowd!
Well done Tony for organizing the event for the bunch and a beautifully written report! Very soon we'll need a commentary box at every event!
