Riding the dyke to Marken, Holland - another lovely ride, another vicious headwind!

Holland is flat, so cycling should be easy, but even a gentle breeze becomes a hurricane when you're perched up on a dyke.

Ultegra or 105 groupset?

Hi everyone,

I am deciding on a new road bike and not sure whether to lash out and spend the additional money for the ultegra groupset and better wheels or save the money for a holiday. Any thoughts from road riders - I am no racer but love my weekend rides

Help needed in Geelong

Here in Geelong we have been shaking off the shackles of having an oil refinery and Ford Motor Co. as two of the biggest employers. As such cars very much rule this town.

At the moment our council have promised a 'copenhagen' style bike lane linking our foreshore area (which is a lovely place to ride) with the Barwon River trails (also lovely places to ride).
