The corruption continues :)

My wife goes in for a proper fit tomorrow, we hit Le Knicks today and found some really nice (though not cheap) pair of 3/4 knicks and a nice Vermarc Jersey (no longer can she pick on my spending habits, well not as much ;) ). It also looks as though Leanne should be going into hospital within 90 days to get her knee sorted as there is some nasty floaties in there from previous work. This can only be a good thing and the doc said riding is a great recovery, so spin girl, spin… Continue

Time off for good behaviour

Taking a weeks holiday in early Sept, we've booked into a B&B in Oxley which is some lavender farm, looks snazzy in the pics, The MIL has graciously offered to take care of the kiddies so we can have an overnighter. W00T

I admit to having a massive addiction to Brown Brothers wines, yup, as far as I'm concerned you can keep your "so dry, it might as well be a gas" red wine, I'll have something a tad sweeter on the palette thanks, not as sweet as a Botrytis though.

Seeing as the… Continue

Still no riding, but the buying continues

More money spent on bike parts, My wife used to complain it was Carbon Fibre this, latest and lightest that. Now with the old bike getting attention, It's scouring eBay and the like, looking for NOS and stuff that hasn't changed design since the 50's.

The new brakes and levers are NOS Mafac, Probably late 70's vintage, but identical to the stuff offered in 1960. I'm disappointed that these items came from Belgium and the seller did not have the decency to chuck a few beers in the… Continue

The best laid plans

A week has passed, still haven't found the trainer, or actually looked for it.

The lil fella is 4 weeks old and was weighed the other day... 5.5kg.. what a boofa.

Me, stuck working this weekend, spoiled myself while in Richmond this morning with nice Brooks B17 special, Black with copper rivets and coated rails, very nice if I do say so myself, This will go onto the old bike so should look the part, my wife freaked when she saw the price tag when I brought it home, but meh, I… Continue

Whats this blog thing?

Well, typing in here for the first time, not sure anyone will read this, and if anyone does, I should assure them that this could be a cure for insomnia.

My newest non bike arrival (my son) is a little over 3 weeks old now, Awake every 3 or 4 hours yelling his little head off, I don't know how my better half Leanne copes, I mean I do some feeds, but working real early starts means I'm not much good for a late night bottle.

Haven't got on the bike much, A week or so before… Continue
