Giant Seek 2010 Crack in Frame

Hello folks,I was shocked this morning when I noticed a crack in the frame of my 2010 Giant Seek 1 (see attached photo) at the point where the bike post intersects with the top frame. I am the original owner and have ridden this bike about 50km 3-4 times per week on average for two and a half years. I've never had a bike develop such a structural defect before.Do I take it back to where I bought it or deal directly with Giant? Is this at all repairable and is it safe to ride?See More

Gardiner's Creek trail closure next Tuesday 31st

Hello all,There were signs up at the Gardiner's Creek trail this afternoon that the trail between the Main Yarra Trail and Glenferrie Road will be closed for approximately 4 hours from 10:30am next Tuesday 31 July.No reason was given on the notice but there have been a number of planks going wonky and detached recently and I presume VicRoads is taking the opportunity to repair these. It would be hard to repair/replace these planks with through traffic so this seems a sensible sort of…See More

"Good advice. Even without ice some surfaces get very slippery when wet. Under trees with the oil from a gum tree or slippery crud stuff under damp leaves. My most recent minor moment was from a small pile of grass clippings thrown onto a bike path…"

Take care out there people

Hello folks,This morning I was riding the Main Yarra Trail on the Burnley boardwalk section towards the City around 7:10am. The bit just on the City-side of the junction of the underpass to Mary Street can be particularly treacherous on cold mornings and today was no exception.Another chap had come a cropper and when I was there, was looked after by two older riders and was being placed on a gurney by two paramedics. I would presume his wheels unbalanced on the short descent due to ice. There…See More
