Hi everyone. It's been a while since I've been on here but I just wanted to let you know I'm selling the huge paintings I did of the old bicycle posters. There's a cool old Perrier one and a fantastic old Grand Prix one. Please spread the word and check them out on ebay athttp://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330481831275&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT…See More

"Simon Beautiful work. The kind of art that I'd like hanging on my walls. Posters (antique and repro) - over on High St Armadale there are shops that seem to specialise in posters. You'll be very successful. Welcome home."

"Awesome pics. Keep us informed, I'd love to come and see them all exhibited. On a related note, apparently Dali designed the Tour de France postcard in 1959. I have had a bit of a look, but can't find a copy of what it looks like. Can…"

"Here's a couple more photos. One is an old Perrier Poster and the other is an old motorcycle Grand Prix Poster. I'm into vintage motorcycles as well. I hope two wheels and a motor aren't toooooooooo taboo."

How do you like my paintings? Don't be too harsh:)

Hi everyone. I'm new here. The name is Simon Watts and I'm an artist. I've just moved back to Melbourne after living in London for a gazillion years. Riding on those streets is interesting let me tell you. Anyway I'm doing a series of massive paintings at the moment of vintage posters. I thought there might some interest in them here. I'd love some feedback and was wondering where you might think I might be able to exhibit them in Melbourne. Any ideas are really welcome. Thanks SimonSee More

What sort of riding do you do ?
Utility/Transport, Road Cycling, Pub Bike, S.L.U.T (Sustainable Low Cost Transport)
Where in Melbourne or nearby do you live ?
Moonee Ponds
Now tell us about your bicycles ...
I've got a 70's vintage Toyosha 10 speed with beautifully cast components and it rides like a dream. At the other end of the scale I've got a snotty, useless, no-name mountain bike that I beat the living crap out of and don't really mind wrecking.
What is the best thing about riding?
It stops me turning into a fat slob.
A few words about yourself. (This bit is entirely optional!)
I'm an artist. I've recently returned from living overseas for the last 13 years. Ten of those were spent in London where riding a bike every day reaaaaaaaaaaally heightens your sixth sense and dickhead detector. Only got knocked off once so that's pretty good. I'm currently working on a series of large mural size paintings of vintage bicycle as well as motorcycle posters. They're cool as. At least I think so:)
