Ride at low tide on the hard packed dampish sand and you dont sink in very much at all and dont need wide tryres or low pressure but get a bike that your ok if it rusts Ive riden on beached at low tide a lot and it funs and guarenteed to be flat!!

Slick is best, because you'll be getting too much traction anyway. I'd go for really wide tyres on really wide rims: 2.1 inch tyres on 2.0 rims if you can find them. I'd also suggest thornproof tubes to protect against pinch flats because you'll get…
