Beasley's Nursery ride

A great test of a family ride is the ability to ride it over and over without the kids (or parents) being bored. Getting the children on a ride is one thing, having them request the route is a bonus. If not our favourite ride, one we have done most often is from Eltham (or there abouts) to Beasleys's nursery in East Doncaster. Double (tandem) standards

For a couple of reasons, I rode my commute today on my Tandem, by myself. This was not an entirely ridiculous idea, I did need to use the second seat for the last part of my journey. After I received a couple of the usual comments about missing someone from the comic geniusus walking on the wrong side of the shared path, and the stupid looks from varios drivers. It struch me that my one vacant seat was attracting an extreamely disproportionate amount of attention compared with the vehicles… Continue
