G'day, a while ago I was thinking about organising a weekend away for the Mums (& Dads) on Bikes groups that I lead. I was rather clueless, so asked the question on the BV forums. I got quite a few responses. Check the thread here: http://www.bv.com

Oh no - a spelling mistake - I blame the sleep deprivation from Le Tour. Here's the perfect motto: No one's too slow, we're happy to stop for a rest, snack, play, breastfeed, nappy change or till a tantrum is over. Thanks!

I lead and organise the Mums (& Dads) on Bikes rides, auspiced by the Darebin BUG. They're really short rides (usually no more than 5km one-way) to child-friendly destinations. We catch the train to make the ride shorter, avoid hills and to promote…

Commuting, Utility/Transport, Road Cycling, Recreational, S.L.U.T (Sustainable Low Cost Transport), Whatever
Where in Melbourne or nearby do you live ?
N'cote
Now tell us about your bicycles ...
I've got a trusty hybrid, a folder, and a Women's road bike.
What is the best thing about riding?
The wind in my face, the power of my legs, and time to myself.
A few words about yourself. (This bit is entirely optional!)
I helped to found the Darebin BUG, organise and lead the Families on Bikes rides, teach adults to ride bikes from scratch through Jika Jika Community Centre. I've got two kids, one who love riding. One's still on training wheels, but even he's done 15km on his little bike. In my spare time, I'm a student who loves to hang out in the garden.

Welcome aboard! You can post ride reports and updates about the Mums (& Dads) on Bikes rides here, and also include photos. I'll try to get a calendarevent function going here too.
