I have been cycling in Melbourne for over ten years, which like any other populated area is full of it's own dramas, danger and excitement. I cycle every day to work and have been noticing more and…Continue

Expats Gone Wild

You live in Melbourne, but weren't born here, and you ride a bicycle for any reason. You might come from Sydney (we forgive you, at least you escaped ;-) or Saint Petersburg, if you ride, you belong here!

I just installed a new groupset today. I have used 9 speed Ultegra 5500 for the last few years and been very happy with it, however it was time for an upgrade.
I have installed Ultegra 6700 10 speed groupset with new PD6700 pedals too boot. What a difference a good groupset makes.(Not that there is anything wrong with Ultegra 5500).

Around the Bay!

I did it!

The whole 200km of it without catching a train, or fading away which is always a danger on such a long ride. The whole ride took 9 hours, having to travel from Pascoe Vale through Altona, Werribee before getting on the motorway to get down to Geelong.

All in all I feel good though a little tired and stiff.

I look forward to doing it again.
