Strava grew out of our own needs as athletes. With busy lives requiring much solo training, we missed the sense of camaraderie and friendly competition that drove us to achieve our best through training with others. We envisioned Strava as the means to put our workouts and races into context. We call that social fitness.Today, Strava lets athletes all over the world experience social fitness – sharing, comparing and competing with each other's personal fitness data via mobile and online apps.…See More

What sort of riding do you do ?
Quick Answer: I am a bike nerd, Road Cycling, Recreational
Where in Melbourne or nearby do you live ?
Now tell us about your bicycles ...
Main Ride is a Diamond Back Hybrid (Wildwood Model) and the other is a 24 year old Lawrencia 27" Road Bike.
What is the best thing about riding?
To know that while you are out enjoying the ride it is also doing you a lot of good healthwise.
A few words about yourself. (This bit is entirely optional!)
I am married with 3 children, my main hobby is Amateur Radio. Recently I purchased a sport GPS and I am looking forward to logging my improved fitness levels.

Hi Jack,
The film nights are in the rear lounge area, don't know if you saw that back in August, it's quite spacious. At the moment there's no need to book.

No worries, I might check it out one day next week on the way to work.
Gunna drive tomorrow so I can pick up half a bike around the corner from work - cranks look OK !

Hey Jack, do you know if the overpass on Burwood Hwy near your place is open yet?
I can see it's up when I ride along the board walk but never been bothered to go and check it out.
The one over Witehorse Rd is coming along well. Pity there isn't going to be one over Canterbury Rd.. not sure why.
Cheers, Chris

hey Jack, yep Danny apparently broke his ankle while trying to attempt the fence post cycle - and it took him something like 14 goes to get it right! and then he smashed his heels on one of the street scope tricks he did when he landed after flying off a wall and then the stairs.
Tell you what - he has persistence.
It's truly incredible what practice and perseverance can achieve! I can watch it again and again!
