David Gregory replied to Zed's discussion $100 million on bikes annually - what's your project?
"Bike lanes all the way down Plenty Road to service one of Melbourne's Northern Growth corridors. Detailed plan: abolish car lanes where required. Justification: 1. Prefer not to die on the road. 2. Motorists in the growth corridors are…"

David Gregory replied to peebug's discussion cycling infrastructure spending ...
"It's certainly a good win for BBUG and no one here would object to a bike infrastructure spend! For those not using these routes however, I'd always wonder what good you could have done with a more widespread program of works for that sum…"

David Gregory replied to peebug's discussion cycling infrastructure spending ...
"In my experience there are already plenty of "reasonable" bike travel options in this area.  I would have thought there are many areas of Melbourne that are more in need of bike Infrastructure than these sections.  Seems to…"

David Gregory replied to Mark Donnellan's discussion Gentle Reminder to Bike Riders that other people use shared paths
"But there's a perfectly good roadway on the right hand side of that photo.  Cyclists should use that! Cyclists should also be aware that "pedestrians may stroll two abreast and that a third pedestrian may also overtake the other…"

"According to signage, they're closing it down again today!  Maybe the councils should request Federal funding for a tunnel, since it seems like this bridge is not capable of handling the heavy traffic anymore.  Riding past…"

David Gregory replied to pete mc's discussion Vulnerable Road Users law - a question
"I'd say petrol will need to go up at least another couple of dollars before we start seeing any cultural change! I don't necessarily want to see people going to jail for honest mistakes on the road, but the sheer ignorance of some…"

"Petition signed!  I was thinking exactly the same thing when I watched the shark protests the other day.  Since I also spend a bit of time on the surfboard, I'm starting to think that society really trying to kill me! Cull…"
