- Bike nerd. Came (back) to riding in order to avoid purchasing th second car, and to cross-train for my first love, the martial art of Kendo. Since then I have accumulated the miles and bikes. It all started with a decision to restore the bike of my teenage years, which led to an unhealthy obsession with first generation Dura Ace, which then led to an unhealthy obsession with classic randonneur bikes. Currently my condition seems to be under control. I haven't started a new bike project for several months... Have just started joining in group rides with the lycra monkeys, me on the only steel bike in the Peloton. b
