Now tell us about your bicycles ...
Two old second hand mountain bikes .One New 18 inch wheel fold up to put on trains and buses. I am currently 71 years old and partially disabled with arthritis and my bicycle is extremely useful in making painless short journeys of a few km.
A few words about yourself. (This bit is entirely optional!)
Alan has been a bicycle advocate for 40 years; a founder member and former President of Bicycle Victoria, in charge of lobbying and research from 1975 to 1986. He was Vice President of the Bicycle Federation of Australia for 10 years and been employed as bicycle planner from time to time. During the last ten years has been mostly writing submissions to government inquiries that relate to bicycle transport, sustainable transport and oil depletion. Alan has produced technical peer reviewed conference papers on bike/rail travel and secure bicycle parking facilities and oil depletion.
