Hi my name is Eileen I'm the one in the blue shirt.  I like climbing hill,  not sure why but I like to get in the zone and push through.  I live at the foot of the dandenong ranges but don't like riding alone and always enjoy a coffee.  it would be nice to ride the hills with other people.  I will look out to see if you guys organise a ride out this way.

There's not much updating going on here! Maybe this will spark some interest.

There are a whole bunch of rides on the CT blog:
http://www.cyclingtipsblog.com/melbourne-rides/

Tour de burbs leaves from the Guide Dog's Home on Chandler Hwy at two times: 6.45pm for the faster, no-waiting ride, and 7pm for the wait-at-top-of-hills ride.
It runs every Tuesday and Thursday nights as far as I know.
Here's one map:

The Peak Bike Hub rides from Heidelberg are now on Monday and Wednesday mornings at 6am sharp, and 6.30am Saturdays.
Different routes for each: Monday is similar to Tour de burbs but shorter and was set up for newer cyclists.
The Wednesday ride is out through Banyule wetlands and Mount Pleasant Rd (i.e. lumpy) and waits at a few places for everyone to catch up. It's not an A-grader's type pace by any means, but it's pretty hard in places.
Saturdays is out to St Andrews, and can be a bit pacy near St Andrews, but nice group so easy enough to stay on. A few continue on through to Kinglake as well.
One of the Peak Bike Hub riders regularly posts his rides here:

Ivanhoe cycles have a few rides as well: Tuesday mornings from the shop departing 6.30am, gentle pace out past Latrobe Uni to a little housing estate for a couple of circuits around a short pincher, and Thursday morning 6am down to Albert Park for some laps of the circuit. Never been on this one.

It's not the burb's loop but there's a great ride Wednesday mornings 6am from Peak Bike Hub on Burgundy st Heidelberg. Heads into the hills around Mt Pleasant rd and Eltham. Back at the shop about 7:30am for a coffee.

No morning group? Anyone interested in trying to start one?

Yep this ride also goes Tuesdays.
There are now 2 Tuesday groups. One leaves at about 6:45pm and the other leaves at 7:00pm. There amy also be an earlier group that leaves at 6:00pm but I can't confirm.

The pace on both Tuesdays and Thursday is about the same. On Tuesdays though the groups tends not to wait around as much for people to catch up.

Is this group still going on rides? I've been doing a wee loop from Northcote to Eltham and Diamond Valley, but looking to expand a bit.
