Hey Ranso, don't worry about peoples opinions.  It will do your head in. Just do it your way!  Also, I'm a paid up sponsor now!

Any chance of tucking Simon's (Austview) right up under the armpit?

I guess everyone will have an opinion on this one and there isn’t an option that’s going to please everyone. Before everyone jumps on with an opinion though I can give some background because most of it has been well thought through and then if anyone has something to add they can.
• First the design of the outfit is more restrained than a typical pro kit and as such and we didn’t feel it would be in keeping with the design to put sponsors all over it. Also there is definitely a trend from the pro teams towards a more retrained look. If you want to have a look at it though I can get them to mock something up.
• I have had CS mock up a jersey with the logo’s on the back pocket as this was my initial intention. The logos are definitely more visible against the black background of the side panel than the back panel and the jersey is also more visible from the back as a result something which was of concern to some during the consultation phase. I also think the jersey is improved with them moved to the side panel. I’ve attached this so you can compare.
• It’s not possible to see it in the flesh before they go to production as the ordering system just doesn’t allow for this. As far as positioning goes, if we do run with the side panels I’m happy to have mine on the top and I’ve already emailed CS to move the logo’s as low as they can to avoid armpits.
• In terms of sponsorship and I don’t want to devalue everyone’s contribution because everyone I’ve spoken to appreciates the subsidising of the kit, but the way I’ve looked at it is it’s a small contribution of $200 to our local cycling group that because we have a pretty diverse demographic hopefully allows more people to get into a decent kit than might otherwise have been had everyone had to pay full tot.
At the start of the process I did make mention of this being a bit of a managed democracy process (otherwise known as a dictatorship, totalitarianism, autocracy or you might say it has descended into despotism) so I’m happy to take any criticism, I just don’t listen! (just kidding). Seriously though as I said it’s just not going to be possible to accommodate every wish but we have were we could and still move the project forward. It is possible to still massage, it takes a few days to turn around changes but I do think the latest is the best option CS have presented particularly once the logos are moved lower, but happy to be convinced otherwise.
Anyway feel free to have your 2 bobs worth, I’ve got a thick skin. But I will need to make a decision at some point and it’s not going to be perfect for everyone.

Matho, from our point of view I am a little concerned at being hidden under the arm pit but was waiting to see it in the flesh. Great job overall though.

Firstly Great job Ranso on the kit, I would like some feedback on the logo positions, I would have thought they would be spread all over to give it some colour like a normal kit, after all we are subsidising the cost for everyone, what is everyones thoughts?  sorry Ranso
