Shepparton Pussy Cats

A bunch of wannabees, couldabeens, rogues and local sporting legends of yesteryear who are the self appointed B-graders of the Shepp cycling scene. Go hard, but don't take yourself too seriously, or you'll cop a spray from Burlsey, Sully or Walks.

Walks, if you don't get your butt out for a ride you'll be getting dropped sooner than you think.

far*******k me , isn't this about becoming a  social member so we are able to vote at the AGM.??    If you don't want changes in the running of the Shepp Cycling Club  then don't fork out the $35. We will talk about you though!

That's what I was getting at - $35 social members are not covered for riding. And Burlsy is right with his comments re new blood and new leadership at Shepp CC, it is not about insurance.

Guys if you read the brochure that Eddy attached earlier you will note that Individual members of Cycling Australia are covered for any cycling activities 24/7.  You need to join Cycling Australia as a Recreational member (Non Racing member). I joined late last year at cost of $72.00. Covers $20mill liability, small Personal Accident cover.

Google Cycling Australia membership and you will find the various memberships along with insurance detail.

I do not believe a $35 Shepp Cycling Membership is intended to cover you for any insurance.

Happy to be corrected.

All i can say is god help you all if i,m the assessor sent look at more dodgey claims !!

I thought this push for Eddy was to have some new blood join the cycling club to generate some enthusiasm, not an insurance issue. If you can get insurance cover for being a recreational rider well and good, I would bet my bottom dollar its not as easy as that - Look after yourself and seek qualified independent advise from an insurance perspective, end of story!!
