Shepparton Pussy Cats

A bunch of wannabees, couldabeens, rogues and local sporting legends of yesteryear who are the self appointed B-graders of the Shepp cycling scene. Go hard, but don't take yourself too seriously, or you'll cop a spray from Burlsey, Sully or Walks.

Yes Lloyd I work with one & I spent some time with him today. Very traumatic for all involved.

Dave I've seen my name written many different ways before, eg Llyod, Loyd, Lyod, Loid (by my plumber, another norf tek graduate), but never seen it written as Llyodd before. Thanks for that.

Very sad to hear about Peggy. Lovely lady.

Does anyone know who she was riding with? Thoughts go out to them as well.

good to see Brett Lancaster rate a Zero in TDF drug testing, unfortunately Rogers 7 and LLyodd 8 have scores that put them in the range of susspicion

Glad to see that Paul Tozer enjoyed the cycling and the scones! He certainly showed the benefits of a big pre-season with the Cats, with a very hard-working 2nd place yesterday. Please feel free to follow his example.

On a more sombre note, the death of Peggy Allen was another huge loss to our cycling community. She was a lovely woman ,who tended to ride in a small group[particularly with Harry and Liz Lee,Ian Chillman,Ignazio and Valentina Fantone and co] but rode Murray to Moyne and was an  important member of the Fruit Loop Committee. Please think of her this week when out there.

if we have a ride like Saturday morning we should warm up pretty quick.

I don't think I can afford the shrinkage Ronald. I suppose a positive is a certain part of my anatomy won't get frost bite. Not sure about some of you "big boys".

Just had my first race with the GV vets. Was a beautiful day with great, friendly people, and there were scones when we finished. If you're over 35 I would recommend heading down on a Sunday morning.

sad news again, its happening to offten. Australia has decreased from 25 cyclist deaths a year 10 years ago to 8 a year in 2010. While the accidents may have not all occured this year thats 3 deaths in a week.
