Well I didi it. 95km in the rain and mud in just over 7 hours.
10th in my class - solo unskilled old bastards
Brake pads wore out about half way.

If you've been thinking about MTB racing then come and check this out on Sunday.
Lysterfield - parking will be crap at Hallam Nth Rd though.. enter somewhere else and ride to where you can see the action.

and I need a mud machine... dirty all the way...any one out there with a mud/stump jumper for a lanky cuss over 6'2' (187cm) and around 87-90Kg ?... happy to talk dosh!! payment in beer, wine, negotiable securities and/or exotic parts ( ie: bike parts ..aahhemm!-hubs, stems, seat posts, saddles, a small steel roadie frame, old suntour cassettes, new Campy Cassetttes, even a Miché Shimano compatible 13-29 10Spd that has done Mt Ventou -bow down yee heathens-.... etc etc :) )
