I've bought a couple of KMC brand chains (Z410 model 1/8 x 1/2) in the past, I'm tired of them coming in 96 links, especially when I need 98 minimum. I guess it's a throwback from BMX stuff but it doesn't make me any happier.
I've seen online (Jensen etc) they sell the same model but with 112 links, but I haven't found anywhere local. Bicycle Recycle was the culprit the last time, even though they knew it was being fitted to the fixie, not a BMX.

Abbotsford Cycles mate. They've got them in all lengths. Not such a problem if you're using the narrower 3/32 width. These come in 108,112,114 links etc.
I had the same problem with Ozmosis. Needed the wider 1/8th and the LBS down the road only had the 98 link cheapies. Solved this by buying 2 for $20 and making my own up. All good
Since I am a newbie to SS - I don't want to upset anyone...BUT we should really refer to chain links properly.
A 'link' is both a inner and outer, so where a box specifies 100 Links (incorrectly), it really should be 50.
1 Link = 1 inch, hence the 1/2 inch 'pitch' or distance between 1/2 links.
Yes, I have spent way too many lunchtimes checking out sheldon brown's web pages (RIP Sheldon)
My method is to check out what chain length I need using a chain length calculator. Search for Machinehead Software, it is good fun! Also, nothing wrong in my book making up a longer chain with 2 master links...
