Winter Riding

Winter started and my main concern is always visibility. I had bought, in the midst of summer, a $25 stainless steel BBQ lamp at Aldi. It has a fully flexible arm that lets you adjust the lamp and uses 4AA to power 12 LEDs. Its hard to see in the photo, but they give off this ice blue xenon headlights type of glow. Fit on the bike almost make me think it has been specially designed for the bike and not the BBQ.......... When it is really dark the whole box lights up giving me 360 degrees visibility. I also have the normal halogen front and rear lights running of the hub dynamo, and an extra clip on LED rear flashing light for good measure.

Aldi doesn't sell the light anymore, but I think I've seen them at Nightingale Electrics on Spencer street in the city, too.
