Just how bike nerdy are you?

Have a brightly coloured BMX-themed doona cover?

Done every Alpine Classic or ATB since 1992? Have a equally bike nerdy partner who doesn't mind you bringing the workstand into loungeroom?

Do you laugh loudly when seeing other riders with those trendy new knicks with rear ventilation, as your much-loved knicks or shy shorts are exactly the same, just the arse is worn out of them?

Do you really care when the conversation turns from Shimano to Campy?

Do you proudly wear explorer socks with road shoes?

I entered London2Paris next year.
I'm getting a custom courier bag made.
I'm racing on rollers tomorrow night after a trip to SigmaSport.
I live in a studio flat with girlfriend + 5 bikes leaned against the window and another 1 under the bed. The GT is under the bed in order to make room for a planned full carbon road bike.
I'm a post whore on too many bike forums.
It all adds up to being pretty damn bike nerdy! :)

I go for plain cool max options.
No point using anything else when they're wet and covered with road grime in 5min.
Now getting the A-Z tattooed over my body would be useful ala Prison Break guy. :)

I reckon contributing on several bicycle orientated social networking sights is about as "bike nerd" as you can get.

But as a reasonable newbie (20 months ago), I think I'm doing OK. 4 bikes in the loungeroom is testing my partners acceptance though.

Latest bit of bike nerd kit is an Alfine dyanmo hub to be installed on the xtracyle soon.

I have in total 6 bikes: 3 in working order, 1 nearly finish, 1 is frame+fork+pedals (with more parts coming this week from various eBay sellers) and 1 is a rescued frame. Then there the full carbon (with Ultegra or Dura Ace parts) one floating about in my head....

I also get that warm fuzzy feeling when I notice that more and more people are riding nowadays....
