cafedirect instant (http://www.cafedirect.co.uk/) before cycle to work. Fairtrade and probably the nicest instant I've found.

EAT. cafe chain for my cappucino on arrival and possibly EAT or AMT cafes near work during the day. Sometimes dabble in more instant from the kitchen if I'm being tight.

Usually stop when work stops as I don't have a coffee machine at home and don't want to drink instant in the evening after a day of niceish coffee. Finding somewhere in London that does coffee anything near the quality of Melbourne is almost impossible. In 2 years I've found perhaps 5 cafe's that can do un-burnt coffee. The locals all want their coffee hotter hotter hotter and don't understand that this makes it bitter when they burn the milk and/or coffee! Cretins! :)

Had a latte today as I arrived late and will not bother eating until we hit an Italian restaurant for lunch. More filling, you see? :)

TOFWD, The Organic Food and Wine Deli in Degraves Lane in the City has great organic fair-trade coffee. Well made and well priced for it ($3). Doppio (double espresso) or soy cafe latte, yummmm!!

A Soy cafe latte sounds like heresy to me, being a latte fan. Although i must pop down and give the Doppio a try. ;)

Just a idle though, should any outlet that serves skinny soy decaf with artificial sweeteners be immediately closed down?

Why is instant coffee mentioned in the Bean Fiends group? Coffee and "instant coffee" are unrelated commodities!

I've cut right back on my caffeine intake, so most days I would not exceed five doses.

I love a good coffee at midnight - it's part of a relaxation routine that helps me sleep.
