Hoping the idea is Melbourne before copenhagen/inside-out bike lanes ;-)

 

I actually like Melbourne's mix of the best of (mostly) vehicular and insular cycling. Just the right mix of paths, lanes and on-road. Now we just need to slow the cars and trucks down, especially on the left lanes of major roads.

I am finally going to achieve my dream of visiting Melbourne this year. My wife and I could only fit in one major city (apart from Cairns). We chose Melbourne because we have heard it's the best Australian city, and because it has Bixi. But I cannot find a map of Bixi stations in Montreal anywhere on the Net. We want to book accomodation near a Bixi station. Can anyone tell me where such a map can be found? And perhaps recommend a good book on cycling in Melbourne? Thanks
