We meet every Sunday at 08.45am for a ride starting at 9am at Cafe Racer. Riding along Beach Road, [about 25-35km/hr] to Mordy/Frankston. We also do other rides around Melbourne including Climbs (7 peaks), Organised rides (MAD, BAD, Otway, ATB, etc) and MTB . Riding and enjoying a laugh is the focus, so make sure you bring your sense of humour!! Oh, ensure your bike and kit are clean/well maintained - don't want any unnecessary accidents. *If you want to join 9ers, your request will be accepted, but you'll need to do at least 2 rides each month for your membership to be maintained :)

Last year was really cold so ill be ruggIng up this time! Bob, congratulations, will definately check strava!!

Comment by Bob Dickins on March 27, 2012 at 10:13pm: Hey Heather, Yes I did the Otway and had a great day out. The back was feeling it from Lorne to Torquay though. I took the Garmin and have uploaded the ride onto Strava if anyone's interested. My moving time was 5.5 hours. Had a few stops on top of that. I had a sleep in Sunday morning and went past Racer about 9.30 and it was very quiet. Road closure's and detours to Black Rock so turned around and came back home. No MAD ride for me but I have signed up for the 113 km Arthurs Seat Ride on 29 April. .

Im looking into doing the MAD ride at Woodend on Sunday but thinking of just doing the 60km road ride. Hubby is doing the mtb route - but looking for someone else to join him on the crazy dirt tracks. Let us know if anyone wants to join him. Heather - you doing the long route or 60km version?

I didn't get there or do the Otway because of some family health issues (not me), but am looking forward to doing the MAD Ride at Woodend this Sunday - Marlon, if you're interested I think you can enter on the day - Steve Winnall is also doing it. Sooo, Bob and Andrea, did you do the Otway, how did you go, a colleague at work did it in 6 hours. I'm away for Easter and really looking forward to the next 9 Oclockers the weekend after. I hope a few of you uphold the tradition this Sunday :)
