Cycling in Melbourne Australia
We meet every Sunday at 08.45am for a ride starting at 9am at Cafe Racer. Riding along Beach Road, [about 25-35km/hr] to Mordy/Frankston. We also do other rides around Melbourne including Climbs (7 peaks), Organised rides (MAD, BAD, Otway, ATB, etc) and MTB . Riding and enjoying a laugh is the focus, so make sure you bring your sense of humour!! Oh, ensure your bike and kit are clean/well maintained - don't want any unnecessary accidents. *If you want to join 9ers, your request will be accepted, but you'll need to do at least 2 rides each month for your membership to be maintained :)

Comment by Tim on January 29, 2012 at 4:59am I'm up for it today, yea come down to racer after thre crit Andrea, no doubt most of them there will be heading that way anyway,
Comment by Andrea Newson on January 27, 2012 at 6:34pm Yay there will be three of us on the 12th as I booked as well lol (its right at the start of my annual leave so good timing)
I went and did 98kms on Tuesday in that 35 degree heat...it sucked to be honest lol so collapsing into the bay in Port Melbourne at the end was THE best!
Doing the SKCC race on Sunday at 8am - Heather and Steve the start/finish is at the street just before when we turn to ride down Ingall St!
Been looking at some of the routes out around this way (Airport, Wildwood, Sunbury) on Strava and there are some good hilly 100kms loops to be had as well - good Otway training (hint hint) lol
If I dont see anyone Sunday have a good ride - I might head down to Cafe Racer after the race and sit around and 'pose' for a while ;-)
Happy Riding!
Hi all. my hubby and I are doing a ride tomorrow. if any one is interested let me know. we will be leaving Box Hill Rail Station 11 am approx' riding into the city via bike paths and the boulervard. Lunch at southbank, afternoon tea at st Kilda approx' 70 KLMs return but bail out options if you don't want to ride that far. pace will be a fast as the slowest rider. cheers Eileen

Comment by Heather on January 27, 2012 at 8:05am Hi All, I'm at work but finally tracked down the link for the next riding clinic: http://www.velobourne.com/clinics/ I'll have to wait until I get home to enter as the 'fun police' don't allow us to access fb at work!!
Hi heather glad you enjoyed your ride today. I have just come home from a 100K ride off road on the warbi trail and O shanesy aqaduct trail. touch ride, tested my skills some of the trail was unridable but Andrea would prob' have no difficulty :) I won't be riding this Sunday as I have a hills ride to do out my way. hope you all have fun. :)
Comment by Tim on January 24, 2012 at 2:24pm So it appears TFM are not doing thi clinic Sunday, so, see you there folks.
Comment by Tim on January 24, 2012 at 2:03pm For those of us that were lucky to finish work at 1pm and not so getting up at 2.45am did a wonderful ride to Black Rock on Monday great tail wind coming back and 30 minutes to get back to Earlwood village. Steve, Andrea, in regards to Greysonline( I love that site) was you both thinking of the SRAM WiFLi cassette, apparently great for hills I read a review on this.
For this Sunday I have registered to go to TFM clinic, have not heard back from them as yet so, if this doesn't go ahead it will be same time same bat channel.
happy cycling and keep cool folks.
