Melbourne Cyclist

Cycling in Melbourne Australia

Hi there

The Super Tuesday Bike Count is an annual bike commuter count, which has been running since 2007. Super Tuesday provides participating councils with annual figures of bicycle commuters and their movements on roads and bike paths.

Super Tuesday is commissioned by participating local councils and run by Bicycle Victoria, who coordinate the volunteer Counters to collect the data for Super Tuesday. Counters may also nominate their club or BUG to receive a $50 donation in recognition of their contribution to the count.

This year, Super Tuesday will take place on Tuesday 1 March, from 7am-9am across Australia. Most Melbourne councils have commissioned this count and BV still need volunteer counters to record rider numbers at their selected locations.

If you would like to register to count riders – or view the count sites in your area – please visit the registration page on the Super Tuesday 2011 web page, or if you would like more information, please email
jeffm@bv.com.au at Bicycle Victoria.

Cheers

Alan

We need volunteers to inflate the rider numbers, too ;-)
