Sick of riding solo on Beach Road?

I see many others riding by themselves on Sunday mornings so I have an idea:  Meet up at Cafe Racer at 9am and ride to Black Rock or Mordy return.  You can ride from somewhere else to make the ride longer or, just turn up for this one and enjoy a coffee at Velocino before the return trip. And, if there's nobody else at Racer, then you (and I) haven't lost out: we'll still be riding alone anyway!  How will we know who eachother is?  Probably be the ones standing on the footpath alongside our bikes, or sitting at a table with one coffee in front of us!!  No more nigel nofriends !!!

I'll rock my big Australian Flag jersey. Daggy but easily recognisable :D

Unfortunately i will be out of town this weekend but hopefully the week after will be ok - i guess with xmas coming up finding time will be harder till the 26th

If anybody is still following this discussion you'll be happy to know that I've created a Group called The 9 O'Clockers, all from the interest shown here.  We currently have 20 members and meet every weekend.  Have a look at the 9 O's and join in !!!

Hi Niall, from this discussion I got so much interest I created a Group and called it The 9 O'Clockers - just go to the Groups page here on Melbourne Cyclist and look for the pink panther logo - that's us.  It tells you where to meet etc.  I won't be there this Sunday as I'll be overseas, but I know the others will be there - have a look at the Group and let them know you'll join them this Sunday!

Hi Heather, hope you don't mind if I join in with you're group tomorrow sounds like you have a lot of fun which is what cycling should be and certainly like the 9 o'clock start.
