I was just wanting to mention that this has been a fantastic group so far, running every week without fail! For the "beginner" level rides, the average pace is estimated at mid-high 20s, but the ride leader David is wanting to emphasise that if anyone feels that the pace would be too fast, everyone is welcome (as long as you have a road bike or flat-bar road bike) and the group aims to stay together, and anyone who is inadvertently dropped will be waited for. [Disclaimer: I am not quoting verbatim from David, but definitely he wants everyone to be encouraged to give it a try!]

Nearly all the rides so far have been the beginner level rides, but there was one slightly tougher ride a few weeks ago. Just 5 of us attended. The average pace was 30-low-30s along Beach Rd. We rode to Frankston, then after Hopes Rise two of us turned back and waited in Frankston while the stronger three riders tackled some hills in Mt Eliza. (N.B. I do love any chance of hills, but in this instance the pace was going to be well beyond me!)

David sends an email each Wednesday to give a hint re pace/terrain etc. for the coming Saturday's ride. Sign up to the email list by sending an email with the word "Subscribe" in the subject line to- bicyclehq.rides@gmail.com .  Faster, tougher rides will eventually be planned according to demand, so he will welcome anyone emailing to request more challenging rides!

Rides have been moved to Sundays (7am starts) and new Facebook created at https://www.facebook.com/pages/Secret-Mystery-Rides/388351727856708

New facebook address is now www.facebook.com/secretmysteryrides

Ride is still going strong and has had a lot of takers. Rides are getting faster/further due to increased fitness of group :)

Some of them (including this coming Sunday) are hills rides (with regroups) :)

Also sometimes (such as last Sunday) there are "absolute beginners" rides, low 20s pace on flat.
