Cycling in Melbourne Australia
Sat/Sun group southern peninsula
Is anyone interested in starting up something down this way. I'm a beginner and can keep up to about 30km/h in a bunch, but accelerating from lights usually sees me getting dropped.
Does anyone want to star a group on Sat and or Sun mornings, at around 7 or 8am. I've done Frankston St.Kilda and return (83km) and it is great.
I'd love to do this on a regular basis, but lesser or longer would always be an option.

Where abouts on the peninsula are you?
I'm in Rosebud/Rye area and keen to get a regular ride started, both on weekends and weekdays.
And would much prefer to ride the quiet and beautiful roads down here than Beach Rd!!

My circumstances have changed and it's a bit difficult now with organised rides. I can only ride once or twice a week and it's ll over the joint. There's a regular shop ride from Peninsula Star in Playne St Frankston (behind the cultural centre at the roundabout) on Sunday mornings at 0700 to Black Rock and back.
Or you could drop in and see them through the week. They have some other rides through the week in the evening, not sure if they are running now after daylight saving has ended Give em a ring on 9783 2266
