Road ride Burleigh Heads, QLD - looking for a 'host'!

 I'm staying with a friend who lives in Burleigh Heads, for just a week - 12 to 17 Aug 12.  I'm borrowing a Specialized roadie and want to do at least one road ride while I'm there, more if I can.  Thing is, my friend doesn't know anyone who rides, so if there's someone who can 'host' me on a road ride leaving from Burleigh Heads pub precinct I will be grateful. Thinking about 50 - 60km at around 25-30km/hr (I will be on holidays after all, don't need to thrash the pedals)!  I've just posted the same request on Brisbane Cyclist, but hoping there's someone from here who might know someone from there, you know!
