Northering

Not a very Melbourne topic, but I have to go up to Queensland for a wedding and I'm hoping to do a spot of bike-touring/camping while I'm about it. Done a bit of internet-snooping but haven't found anything really inspiring yet. The wedding itself is about 30 km inland from Noosa but prepared to bus it further north or down to northern NSW if it means a more interesting ride and looking at about a week's worth of travel by at least half-civilized roads. Anyone have any ideas?
