I want to borrow/hire a beautiful single-speed for the first week of August

Greetings all. I'm coming to Melbourne for an ecology modelling workshop at the university August 4-9, and I would very much like to find a lovely bike to ride while I'm in the city. Certainly Melbourne is to be applauded for its cycle hire scheme (particularly from the perspective of someone who lives in Wellington, NZ), but I'm not a great fan of too many speeds and clunky all-purpose frames. If I can acquire a 'my kind' of bike, I'll enjoy the city ever more. So....if someone knows where I might find a small (48-50cm) steel frame beauty (with character!) to borrow or hire out for the week, I'd be much appreciative of the information/offer. Cheers.
