The next HumeBUG ride is the Woodend - Broadmeadows Ride on 6th November, 9:45am from Woodend.
Ride Details - Ride from Woodend Railway Station through Macedon to Riddell’s Creek. Stop for lunch at Riddell’s Creek Bakery. From here ride to Broadmeadows via Konagadera Rd, Craigieburn Rd and Mickleham Road.
Cyclists can meet at 8:20am at Southern Cross Station and catch the 8:35am Bendigo train (via Woodend) which arrives at Woodend at 9:38am. The train passes through Watergardens(Sydenham) at 8.58am and Sunbury at 9:11am. For up-to-date timetable information go to www.vline.com.au Exit Points – Riddell’s Creek, Craigieburn (Somerton Road)
It's important that you are reasonably fit and your bike is in good order. A pump, spare tube(s), repair kit and water is essential. Whilst the ride is essentially rural and flat there are 2 steep climbs along Konagadera Rd. The ride distance is approximately 75km and we expect to travel at a medium speed of 25kph.
