Heading to Melbourne for a ride

Hi all


I'm a member of Brisbane Cyclist and am heading down to Melb mid August. Attending a friends engagement party on 18 August, I'll be hiring a bike and riding round to check out a few places (touristie stuff) on Sunday 19 August.

Was wondering if people were interested in showing me round some nice areas (city - surrounding) and  a nice place to eat for lunch. I hear Lygon street or St Kilda are the places to go for great meals.

Happy to shout you (one person!) lunch for your hospitality.

Looking to see a lot - no time limit - and I can handle about 40km at a super cruisie pace. Not looking to do distance, looking to sight-see.

Brent you definitely need to look at the 9oclockers group here I am sure they will welcome you to join them for a spin along beach road.

Yeh, I'm going to head down one of these days and lower the standard.

Sounds like a good thing to do on a Sunday morning while all the MTB trails are bogged out.

Cheer for the offer. I'm looking to more of a tourist guided ride, so i'll check out a few that organise that sort of thing.
