Four experienced (100 years between them!) urban bike commuters are running what is probably one of the world's most innovative commuter cyclist courses. It is based on the notion that if one understands the expectations of other road users and shapers as one cycles among them, one can better anticipate the worlds one is cycling through.
The course, offered by the Council of Adult Education, begins on the 27/10/10 (i.e. Wed. next week), for 4 weeks from 4-6pm.
It is a practical application of the social dynamics' approach developed over 30 years by Monash Uni's Grad.School of Env.Sc. and now taught by Swinburne's Nat.C.for Sustainability in its Grad.Cert.Sustainability course "Principles of Sustainability".
Cost is $169 or concession: $149 - however, see [b)] below!
Quota: 20 participants!
A poster advertising the course appears below at "cycle8.pdf" and there are also two templates for fliers in case you can provide for paper flier pickups!?
Course details are included in the single sheet Word outline, also below.
b) fees assistance of $100 per enrolee applies to the first 10 enrolees. However, this assistance is not provided by the CAE, it is an initiative of the teachers and so to enable us to make the selection, pls ask applicants to send a copy of their CAE enrolment to firstname.lastname@example.org. The $100 will be provided as cash in the materials' package to be handed to participants at commencement.
