Event Description

The Sea 2 Summit challenge is arguably Australia's toughest and most rewarding single day cycling event. Participants have described it as life changing.

Its demanding route takes riders through breathtaking landscapes and finishes on the summit of Mount Kosziusko. Sea 2 Summit gives cyclists the chance to achieve the extraordinary: to complete this challenging ride and at the same time support children and young people with cancer.

The Sea to Summit will take place on 19 November 2011 with expressions of interest now open!

About Sea 2 Summit

The Sea 2 Summit challenge covers 248 km, climbs a total of 5,500 m and traverses some of the most stunning landscapes in south-east Australia. The ride starts on the Sapphire Coast at Merimbula Beach, located about halfway between Melbourne and Sydney. It ends at the summit of Australia’s highest mountain, Mount Kosciuszko.

Cyclists who participate in Sea 2 Summit have different fitness levels and come from across the country and all walks of life. They all share a desire to make a valuable and lasting contribution to children and young people with cancer and are committed to fundraising for Redkite. Together, Sea 2 Summit cyclists have raised over $200,000 to ensure children and young people with cancer, and their families, can access Redkite’s excellent emotional, financial and education support services.
