Event Description

Melbourne BUG invites you to join us at Get Pushy, a rally for bike safety in Melbourne!

As you might know, Greens MP Greg Barber has introduced a bill to increase the penalty for car dooring to the same as running a red light.
We are gathering together to say we support the bill, but want more, too: safe bike lanes, more of them, and respect on the roads. Because in a real bike city, you don't have to be brave to ride a bike.
Bring your bike, bring a friend.
When: Wednesday 29 February (Leap Day), 12.45pm, entertainment from 1.00–1.30pm
Where: Gordons Reserve, Spring Street, CBD (Gordons Reserve is that small triangle of grass with the fountain in it, just south of parliament)

I finish work at 1pm (& sometimes start at 11:15) so, if I can get there in time, I'll be there. Good luck either way! :-)

Be busy working at the time of the event. Would like to shame it is in the middle of the day on a working day.
