Event Description

Beers, Bikes, and Bands is bringing together three things you know and love into one action packed fundraising event for the Final Continent Expedition (FCE).

Teaming up with Melbourne based charity Bicycles for Humanity and the , Bicycling Empowerment Network Namibia. FCE is working to deliver a shipping container full of donated bikes to Katima Mulilo in Northeastern Namibia, Africa. The bikes will go to orphans and aid workers and the container will be made into a bike workshop; a sustainable business run by locals, for locals. It’s sustainable stuff with a track record to prove

True to its name, Beers Bikes and Bands is bringing you performances by local acts , Charlie Lim , PHIA andThe Lights, a silent auction and raffle of fares and wares donated by select local businesses, and yes!!!! ........proudly sponsored by Little Creatures, there will be no shortage of beer.

The day will also function as a bike collection day for Bicycles for Humanity (B4H). See more about the bike collection here

Get your philanthropy pants on and come for a ride...

But wait! There’s more!

Beer, Bikes and Bands couldn’t resist adding one more act, keeping with the alliteration and spicing things up.......a Burlesque performance by Miss Kay Risqué.

Good cause; instead of relying on donated bikes, why not contact bike shops about the stuff they throw away. A lot of good bike stuff is put in the bin when someone wants an upgrade, either off a new bike or their old one; the shop cannot sell it as new & won't sell it at a discount as it undercuts their more profitable stock. They could have a box earmarked for charity. Might be worth a try.
